The Green Party is an electoral party rooted in social movements. Our members are involved in many different types of movement politics and our party allies itself with these efforts. Many movements work to change public opinion and ultimately influence decision-makers to change laws. The Green Party uses the public platform of electoral races to amplify the messages of the social movements and challenges decision makers directly by attempting to replace them. In mounting electoral challenges, we change the policy conversation to the urgent issues of our time and our fresh solutions, as well as pressuring the other candidates to move toward our positions.
It takes special grit to put yourself out there and go head to head with corporate money. The folks who run as Green Party candidates represent our party to the public and are on the forefront of our party building efforts. Follow the links below to see our past and current candidates.
